Basic Requirements:

  • Formal Tertiary education: Trade Tested Toolmaker/Turner machinist
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience on manual mill
    • Read mechanical manufacturing drawings
    • Must have experience in working with raw material
    • Knowledge and experience with safety procedures within the workshop and on customer sites.
  • Languages:
    • English – Read, write and speak (required)
    • Afrikaans – Read, write and speak (optional)
  • Drivers Licence: Code 8- (required)

Job requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings and manufacturing of all items broken down to individual components
  • Ability to operate and machine components on manual milling machines
  • Good Communications Skills
  • Timing and quality of finished goods
  • Proficient on workshop equipment and machines
  • Work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines and achieve targets as assigned
  • Ability to work as a team and individually when required
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Be a quick decision maker and discuss with your superior
  • Manage the quality of each individual part manufactured for the project
  • Support the Code of conduct, Company policies and JQS.
